Lets Speculate about Q's 9/9/99 called analyst meeting in NY.

My hypothesis is that when Mr. Thornly's made a comment to one analyst this spring about how far ahead of street projections Q profits were running, it probably aggravated other analysts and institutions. Thus Q is carefully respecting these sensitivities and perhaps even some legal requirements by dispensing news simultaneously to all. At the last quarter conference call Q, due to imminent stock offering, refrained from any concrete projection of Q4 earnings.

I say that at the analyst meeting, Q will give guidance as to Q4 earnings, the effect of parts shortages, and the MOT suit. There could be a significant announcement concerning a JV, purchase or breakthrough agreement.

Any other thoughts??
