dated aug 31, 1999 received via fax. msdw "tech day" clip.... semiconductors: update from the idf......mark edelstone we believe intel's .18 micron process technology problems have been resolved and intc is ramping aggressively. the transition to the 820 chipset and rambus dram is going well. we believe future generation software applications will require more bandwidth, and a combination of the 820 chipset and rmbs dram will provide the solution. five dram companies are fully compliant with rdrams and the launch of the product to the public is scheduled for 9/27. intc's merced microprocessor will sample to oem's in sept. and performance appears to be compelling. unclewest msdw has a target price of $150 on rmbs
