<<<<For some inexplicable reason the Street finds Dell unattractive. Why?>>>
The lovely Miss Dell has been sitting on the wrong side of the dance floor, alongside two of the poorest and ugliest( IBM P/C and Miss CPQ), which tends to scare off suitors.
But as you just pointed out, advertising will change the
erronious perceptions.

ed...."dell unattractive"

look at the performance of dell versus its peers, sans cpq, since the "computer is dead" meltdown of february........all the companies and ceo's have been proactive in redefining their companies for year 2000 forward....dell has not...just stating the obvious such as growth and profitability......investors? don't buy the obvious...they buy the future "perception"....maybe "mikey" learning part of the role of ceo is being active and visible beyond what this thread thinks his only duties are....conference last week a start.....face in commercials even better......who would of thought!!!! "mikey" doing commercials.....how undignified.....amazing isn't when the reality sets in, and in spite of the superb execution as a company......you gotta conform to what the people/markets want.......can't remain an island in a media driven environment....ed a.
