<<ISO 9000 certification is for a facility and its procedures rather than an endorsement of a product. The expectation is that if you have good manufacturing procedures in place and have them well documented that consistent product quality will result. It does not comment on the design of the product (low latency, dual power supplies, etc)>> My understanding is that the certification is for the entire company, not just the manufacturing facility. In other words, it should include engineering design processes, customer support processes, Sales department processes, etc. Everyone in the company should have a desk level procedure... the whole nine yards.
