The Creative Nomad MP3 player is bundled with a FM radio.

I'm waiting on my Rio 500.

**OT**Can anyone here help me with my Rio?

I have the PMP300 and a Kingston 3.3V 8MB card that is not being recognized by the Rio. When I turn it on, the screen says "40MB." However, when I run the test with the Menu to check Total Internal Memory and Total External Memory it gives me readings of 32 and 0 respectively. Which leads to the question of why the player sees the memory card initially when it is turned on. I tried formatting the Smartmedia card with my USB Smartmedia Card Reader. After doing that, I put 4 mp3 files on it and placed it into the Rio with the same result. This is really frustrating as it makes no sense that The Rio sees the memory on startup, but not through the Menu test.

I have already emailed tech support but wondered if anyone else ran into similar issues.

TIA for any help,

Brian
