I own most of the $4-$6 E&Ps normally discussed here. I did a comparison of next year's EPS per Zacks. While I think all of the companies will easily beat the published estimates(as Slider has often reminded us), these should give a relative ranking of how analysts view these companies prospects for next year.
BELW .72
PETD .57
EPEX .32
TMR .27
RRC .17
TEXP .14
CRK .06
The two that really stand out are BELW and PETD. BELW is selling for less than $5 with forecast earnings of .72. By contrast, APC sells for $30+ and is forecast to earn .60. Also, I don't think the investment community realizes PETD has a CBM play in Michigan. It's amazing that these stocks price has remained virtually unchanged for the past three months, while crude and NG have moved toward $22 and $3. Higher earnings for these companies(or survival in some cases) seem as assured as anything ever gets in the stock market, yet few investors outside of us dedicated energyholics seem to be noticing. My only problem with continuing to buy these stocks(and energy in general) is I'm already so over-weighted here, but I just can't seem to resist when I look at these stock prices and compare them to the earnings power these companies will have at current energy prices.

RRC wave count---odds favour at least 1 reprint of 4.50 (or a bit lower)---could then rebound from there towards 5ish and one last move down towards 4ish but last move down is 50/50 as it may keep going up. Am waiting at 4.38 for the time being-50% retrace of entire move up from the low.

O/T--anyone following the hospital stocks? HRC now trading at $8ish with $1.00eps in 99 and 1.25 est for 2000. Once the momentum crowd move out of a stock they really overdo it!!
