Bob, just a thought here if you are day-trading KOB.

The stocks are pretty flat at the moment, on very low volumes. They seem to have reached a comfortable level after the recent spike.

We aren't going to see any news from Cal Canal for about 2 weeks, given that they still have to drill to the Temblor, run and cement casing, pressure test the cement job and then drill into the Temblor.
We aren't going to see anything from ELH for a month or more, since the permit to flare is a minimum 21 days away, and the production test is going to take 2-4 weeks.

Given this period of quiet, I think we are going to see a slow (but temporary) drift downward in our JVs.

I am certainly not selling, because I believe in the play, but if you want to day-trade KOB, I don't think you will see much of a trading range or enough volume, over the next month, to effectively do that.

Just a thought.

Hops, If I am wasting the time of hundreds of investors then most of them are lurkers and have likely not paid up for SI. I think if we can show people how to trade these stocks in a cost effective manner it would be beneficial to all - especially those of us who wind up saving money.
Perhaps if you had shared your wisdom on this subject sooner many of us could have saved a few bucks. After all, when the trading house itself does not know it can be done there is obviously some difficulty in the activity.>>

My Reply:
Okay, now I'll admit that now I too am wasting everybody's time. I wasn't going to reply but in the end, couldn't resist.

I wish we could all be a little less sensitive on these boards and not take every little comment as a personal affront or challenge. Good for you that you were able to place an online order in spite of the official wisdom; you deserve credit for perseverance. And yes, it may have been of some interest, but it went on for message after message. While I'm not against a little banter and applying of the social graces, one of my pet peeves in these forums is all the fluff and "noise" and repeating of things perfectly obvious, things like: "Wow, I sure hope this stock keeps going up today." I guess I just expect (probably unreasonably) that when two people want to share an experience or carry on an extended conversation, they'll do so with private messages. Where I was possibly wrong was in not indicating earlier where trading info. can be found. I just assumed that being investors, we're used to doing basic DD via search engine. If anyone wants to respond, I'd be delighted to have it in a private message.
