where I live there is a nasa tv channel and it always has a tv view of the earth showing pretty close up land features when its between launches....I watch it sometime and am amazed at how little of the earth I really know..sometimes I think I have been lots of places then I watch that and I can hardly ever tell what the pictures are of...there is no audio or other clues to help you just music

Gee, I go out and when I return there are a whole bunch of posts on Techride! Great!
Yeah, astronomy was one of favorites when I was growing up - kept going to the Planetarium, books, etc. Now my daughter wants to do the same. Loved Stephen Hawkings' book, and subsequent boos on similar topics - just fascinating.
All so vast and all so small.
