Hitachi will have a 3" DVD camcorder next year. There was a picture of it today in the newspaper in Taiwan. The main problem is vibration.

For what it's worth, I have been told (not confirmed) that Wal-mart already is advertising $199 DVD players by Emerson in the Portland area.
