I loved Coby's descriptions, but.... I'm not wearing velour, which sounds very glamorous- I have on a U of Richmond t-shirt and cutoffs and running shoes. ANd I'm in the study, not that clean sounding kitchen she has in her mind, and there are books all over the floor because I was looking for something this morning ON top of the books are all these messy, crunkled papers. Tesh jumped on a table but he landed on this stack of paper that slowly slid off with him on them. He tried to pretend he meant to do it, looking me in the eye as he slid away and disappeared behind the table, then jumping on the papers to kill them and sitting on them while he washed himself victoriously. But we both knew the truth; he had committed one of those truly awful kitty faux paws- the one where instead of the elegant feline leap, he looked like Chaplin doing a prat fall. I had the good grace not to say anything. I'm sneaking cookies from a pack of Pepperidge Farm Milanos, when I should be eating fruit. But there IS a lot of sunlight. It's 99 degrees out.
