TORONTO, Aug. 31 /CNW/ - ATI Technologies Inc. (TSE:ATY, NASDAQ: ATYT) today confirmed statements carried on the Dow Jones news wire that its component products will not be included in Dell Optiplex systems for the fall. Component sales in the order of magnitude US$10 million per quarter are impacted. ATI's total sales for the nine months ended May 31, 1999 amounted to US$927 million. ATI is confident that its RAGE 128 PRO graphics chip, and related board products will remain the most cost effective combination 3D and video graphics acceleration products for all its OEM customers. Dell remains a major customer with ATI, particularly in the notebook market where ATI 3D technology is poised to become the leader in the notebook graphics market next year. ATI's fourth quarter sales are on target and the outlook for fiscal Q1 sales is solid. ATI continues to anticipate overall market share growth.
