The "guaranteed by" approach has a very important advantage over the "powered by" approach. Pete said that so far not one of the sites offered the guarantee had brought up the issue of not wanting it on their site. They universally saw the guarantee logo appearing on their site as a valuable and positive feature of the Checkfree service. We have been discussing the "powered by" approach as something we would need to force on the sites as a contractual requirement, as we know that it would not happen voluntarily and for no consideration. Now being perceived by the marketplace as a dominant market share leader, Pete is trying to be careful not to push down on customers things that they may not respond well to having. The guarantee is a great finesse and should be appreciated as something that accomplishes the Checkfree marketing goal and benefits Checkfree customers. Win, win. I also think that we may have been offering this guarantee all along anyway. I remember a similar promise being made by Checkfree in the direct model several years ago when I first signed up. The logo is the beautiful new addition!

Everybody has to have a goal, something to live and strive for. When Bob Gintel told me he started with $3,000 in wedding gifts years ago...I marked him....as a goal, for me. He's a good man, I'm sure...look at his profile...what's in Capital letters?
