djia,t2k,micheal: Consider the following outlook

MSFT currently has a trailing eps of 1.40 or so.
By the October Q1 eps release it will have
.37 +.35 + .4 + .35 => 1.47 in EPS. For a moment
say MSFT beat wall street estimates by 5c this Q.
Then, it will be a trailing EPS of 1.52.

Considering that MSFT trades at less than 60 PE
several times in a year and pretty much at least
once every quarter (has happened every quarter
for the last 5 yrs), I think there is fair probability
that MSFT will trade at 90 or below in Oct,Nov,Dec.

I think the situation is a bit aggravated by Y2K
funds outflow and potential coupon effects we might
see on NT sales from win2000 coupons in Q4. (Similar
to the office2000 coupons we saw in Q3,Q4)
