advancements in technology are an area that Bears consistently, rarely mention relative to PCs. their analysis rarely takes into effect addtl sales generated through improved architecture (their models are nearly always static - Merrill's model included). they use a notion that PC prices are declining, therefore... however, with the 64 bit arch, it gives the IT dept. a new wave of motivation on which to upgrade equipment. also, 3G will significantly change everything; including pricing structures, sales structures, product offerings over Dell Net, etc., everything; Dell will again metamorphis. Dell currently holds the ultimate "just-in-time" cards for exploiting this radical change. Greg posted an article about PC companies replacing the telecoms - let's walk through this scenario. comments?
