LindyBill, Today's move was amazing. I saw the stock at around 183 when the Nasdaq was down significantly. I got on the phone and bought back shares i had unloaded very quickly. Lucky for me, i got back in before the big ramp up.

I spoke to someone who used to work for Bell Mobility, a wireless phone operator in Canada (there is a write up on them at CDMA.com as well). He convinced me that CDMA is the only logical choice in North America. He mentioned that GSM is OK in Europe due to the close proximity of people.
He agreed that TDMA (which Bell used to operate under before switching) is not a good system at all. In addition, he said that it would not surprise him if AT&T decides to switch to CDMA.
Also said QCOM makes the best phones---and talked a bit about Globalstar.

That is why i ran to a pay phone to buy back my shares and buy back the covered calls that i had sold on existing holdings.

I am finally a convert to QCOM---up until today it was just a high PE speculative stock for me---which made me a bit nervous in choppy markets.

Go QCOM!!!

BTW---BCE, the parent of Bell Mobility also owns over 40% of Nortel (that is what i remember).

Gee Lindy, 1301 shares at the IPO would have cost only $23,418. There must be quite a few Qillionaires out there. Do they look different from regular people? I suppose they wear stupid grins, but do they have a funny hat too or something?

LindyBill: I look forward to the comments from all the people where were "Quillionares" yesterday, but are a bit short today!

Maurice, are we having FUN yet?
