Betty, Jim, fellow Threadies...

The HP announcement is exactly what we have been asking for. "Out of the Box" recognition. I expect that if this is a joint promotion that the CF card will sport a SanDisk label. HP is a trusted brand name worldwide and the endorsement is important.

An 8 or 16 MB CF card is easy to manufacture with the current geometries. As a matter of fact it probably includes about 3% flash memory and 97% plastic components. Thus, they are getting advertising "Out of the Box" with the HP affiliation at a reasonable cost.

We have asked SNDK management to come up with creative ways of increasing brand recognition. This is one viable solution. It also leverages the OEM endorsement. I hope the same thing happens with Nikon, Casio,...

Who knows, maybe they even listened to our recommendations???

Thanks, SNDK Marketing for striking the deal with HP!!!
