What a wonderful mystery Qualcomm is of late. I wrote Oct 170s 2 days ago, Oct to play it safe...maybe I'm foaming at the mouth a little now?

Ed is a master at options--one can learn a lot from him

greg...re: qcom leaps/calls short term view

technically it is very overbought, but the unknown is the momentum/trading dynamic of the stock. fundamentals are not moving the stock.... i think at the moment it is a bit overvalued, it may catch up with itself in time...concern is when the momentum breaks.......ask those who thought it would never break and own aol,cmgi,ebay,amzn.......qcom not immune in an emotional market to see a 30%+ retrace...did 20% when it hit it's 165 high...history tends to repeat in a trading issue...5% range today....would consider writing calls on half my position, and if wrong ladder up with the other half...maybe too conservative?

Greg,

For us on the thread who are not well versed in calls or more specifically, Leaps, could you possibly play out some examples of calls or leaps on Q and take in consideration what the scenario would be if the stock goes up or down? I, for one would appreciate a little education in this area.

Many Thanks,

Joel
