I used to keep it on with no sound for a while and now I don't even do that!

Michelle, I cannot stand it either; and I have to keep a "very low profile" when I am in the office. But I am starting to learn lots of "street smart" from CNBC...you know that it takes a while...I may have heard it before, but it did not register until it hits....just like the book, trading for a living...I am reading it again so I can "understand" it better.

Michelle,

I can't agree on CNBC,the idea that it might be a useful tool, and I always give serious thought to your viewpoint. I think it is a horrible distraction, and a huge waste of time listening to the reasons given for whatever random movements are happening at any given time.

I had the cable company block it in my area.(No sense taking a chance I might turn it on by accident and forget to stop watching. I sound like a guy with a load of self discipline, huh?)

It seems so much better to get a variety of views from folks with their own money on the line, who are looking for the best possible return and aren't having to satisfy the authorities or report the story of the day.
