Jmac, I know that Mr. Greenspan is very pleased to see the Dow drop another 84 points today but he may have been really disappointed to see the Nasdaq rise over 26 points. I hope that he does not have anything up his sleeve for tomorrow or the next.

Nice to see Dell participate in the party later on.

Best

Frank

jmac, RE: But, CNBC said that after 3:30pm CST, new proposed insider sales were released. They said that we would have to wait until tomorrow to see how the news impacts DELL. Anyone else know anything about this? How many shares? Which insiders?

The filings hit after 9:00 PM last night. Here's the list:

James M Schneider filed to sell 32,000 shares
Michael S Dell filed to sell 4,000,000 shares
Claudine B Malone filed to sell 115,200 shares (amendment)
Jerome Gregoire filed to sell 137,280
Paul Bell filed to sell 150,000 shares
Claudine Malone filed to sell 76,800 shares
Paul Hirschbeil Jr filed to sell 44,000 shares

This info should be available on the free EDGAR site some time today. The total filings for the last week of August number 12, although three are repeats. (Claudine Malone's first filing on 24 Aug, and then her amendment of that filing yesterday, and then a filing for additional shares.)

Also, as many have noted (although it bears repeating), even though these sales seem large, they are well within past trends, and mean nothing in regards to DELL's future price performance.
