Thus far the assumption is sound. I wish it weren't. Look at my home state of CA. There are several onerous restrictive laws coming through whose effect will be to make more gun owners criminals, not less criminals gun owners. It's all backwards from a crime control perspective ... which leads me to suspect that crime control is a diversion. YOu tell me, Steven ... where is the natural line of resistance at which the voter will say Enough. Show me that the extremism of the NRA is unneeded by the private citizen who owns/operates a gun in the USA. I'd back down then.
