Check out this article on IBM's capitulation in the networking arena. It comes as no surprise to see who is on the other side of this transaction. CSCO continues to build a nearly unassailable value chain in the networking arena. This is a classic read describing the difficulties presented when a gorilla builds barriers to entry.
