Real Fall - I don't think we are going to have a real fall this year. While there are many reasons why it could: 1. Y2K 2. rising interest rates 3. Market has risen so far so fast. the fact is that we have had rolling corrections in different sectors so far this year. The Dow and S & P are up for the year because of the strength of some technologies and because of the resurgence in value stocks. The Naz is up because of the resurgence in small caps and techs, the small caps having been underperformers for several years. The oils are up after having been underperformers for several years. THe health care stocks are down after having been up big for several years. The phone companies are down after having been up big. The airlines are down after having been up for several years. etc etc. so i think that we have had serious corrections within sectors, and that will smooth out any serious decline. then again, i may be all wet. larry
