None of us can claim to be perfect, dear E. We can only strive and know that we shall stumble from time to time. ;-)

***New Question*** What's your dog really thinking? Don't go saying you haven't wondered.

Now imagine there are only two dogs surviving on the face of the earth.....kidding....just kidding.....

Imagine this: Your dog can be a human for a day.....and, during this day can remain fully aware of its doggie nature and experience.

No doubt the day will begin with much delight, understanding how to open every possible kind of food container. Follow this up with the inevitable moaning on the bathroom floor -- I think they would realize it was stupid to blow chunks on the LR carpet as soon as someone said, "clean it up yourself."

The rest of the day might be spent in a range of routine human activity.

Question is: at the end of 24 hours, if the "dog" is given a choice, will it remain human or opt for its former life?

The dog's answer, of course, will depend a great deal on how it feels about its humans. It might also instruct us in the relative pleasures of cable TV and golf vs., say, some good ole butt sniffin'.

I think Bonnie Girl's last words are: "I was born to be a party dog -- somebody throw me a ball -- PLEASE!"

***NO responses from Cat People, please*** Everyone knows a cat wouldn't stoop to being a lowly human for even 24 seconds.
