I believe I heard that the money supply was contracting also, or maybe it was just slower growth.

In case anyone got confused since I was using the wrong month in my post yesterday the important days coming up are this Friday Sep 3rd when the crucial monthly data is out, particularly jobs report with average hourly earnings and unemployment rate as well as CIBCR which if increased again or not down significantly would go on the tightening side of the ledger in Greenspan's thinking about Oct FOMC meeting. Bob will then assumedly have most of the model update needed to make decisions for the next newsletter which is now showing a Sept 8th mailing date. Bob is then likely to next do the show on Sept 11th at which time he may be comfortable talking about his views one way or another. Marc
