Pravin - <Well, with a 733 Mhz Coppermine in October, the ball is now back in AMD's court. I wonder if they will use a forehand, or a backhand to hit it back. I think it will be a double handed forehand passing shot. Maybe an overhead smash. It will probably be a shot that is hard to return. If they can hit it back, they will probably have maxed out their 0.18u process.>

I actually expect AMD to announce whatever # is higher than what Intel will be actually shipping. This is where volume, and credible supplier issues will come in to play, IMHO.

BTW, I can only express my opinion that you continue to underestimate the scalability of Coppermine in raw MHz. I thought maybe the demo today would help sway you, but I see you remain unconvinced.

The beat goes on.

I can't wait until Intel upgrades their aluminum Coppermine to copper.

That will be a PR event worth it's weight in gold.

:o)

Pravin - Re: ". AMD will then add copper, and hit an ace on the line up the middle to take the first set of the next millenium."

My guess is that AMD's copper "play" will be an embarrassing double fault.
