The point is do we really need the government trying to legislate parental common sense. It's not like there is an epidemic of kids getting killed with firearms. Far more kids probably die swimming in the back yard pool, or choking on balloons and pacifiers.

Hmmm -- I have to worry when you and I agree on something! <g> But maybe here we can do so safely.

Although despite E's response I do think my amputation provision has some merit. After all, it's simple -- as they say, if you can't do the time, don't do the crime. Or the new version; if you want to keep your digits, don't let your trigger finger get the fidgets!
