Thread, I wonder what Intel thinks about Amazon.com's Purchase Circles?

wired.com

This is an Amazon feature which lets everyone know what Intel and other companies are purchasing.

i.e. It lets Intel's competitors know what Intel employees are purchasing from Amazon. In a way, this indirectly lets Intel's competitors know where Intel is focusing their efforts. While it is a very interesting feature, from an INTC shareholder standpoint, not sure if this feature is good for Intel. It could potentially get in the way of marketing relationships as well as possibly provide competitively harmful information on Intel to a competitor.

Maybe Microsoft would be interested in knowing that Intel employees are purchasing more copies of a book on Linux Device Drivers than a book on NT programming.

There's a good article on this from www.wired.com.

From www.amazon.com.... Purchase Circles:
