You are zeroing in on the issue. Inflation is not the increase in prices of commodities. Tremendous improvements in production have masked (suspended) this increase. Inflation is the increase in money supply over the reserves. Because of the improvements in production we do not see the effects of the inflation in things manufactured but we do see inflation in land values!! Technology cant improve that.
