As far as aggressive moves to counter a free product, what are they going to do? Pay you money to use it?

Hmmm, who would have ever thought of free computers a few years back? I wouldn't put it beyond MicroSlop to consider putting permanent banner ads in your apps, desktop or perhaps task bar. Ironically, you may be dreadfully correct!

What about a reverse split to boost shareholder value? So many posts have noted that major corporations would never buy major apps from a company with a stock price under $5.00. Lets increase the stock price to $20.00 by have a 1 for 5 reverse split. Food lion announced that they were doing it today and stock price is rising. Yes, I know historically that has been a negative for stock. However, in the case in Inprise where stock price is a major hindrance to product sales, it might work.

Marketguide reporting that short days to cover on 8/9 was at 5.8 vs 3.6 on 6/8. That based on 2.17 mil shares for the former (5.3% of float) and 3.9 mil(9.5% float) for the latter. This seems to be indicating that float quantity is decreasing since it takes fewer shares short to give larger days to cover. This sound bullish to me.
