Thread- At least once in each of the last couple of years, Maffei/Brown have come out late in the quarter to preannounce an upside earnings surprise. I think this always took place in the third month of the quarter. I don't have any compelling reason to think that it will happen this quarter, but the optimist in me hopes that they will (plus earnings estimates seem low compared to INTC, DELL and others increased business estimates). Does anyone know the date when Microsoft made these announcements in the past? Was it early, mid, or late in the third month? Thanks.
