Greg: I heard a Chief Investment Officer on CNBC in the last hour. A frustrated CPQ investor called in and asked what to do. The Guest said to SELL Compaq ASAP since "DELL was eating its lunch <G>"....He said he was not impressed with Compaq's management transition and expected the stock to come under further pressure. Hmmm.....some folks may have done their homework.

I tend to agree with your top picks -- CSCO and DELL. Yet, IMO QCOM has been priced for perfection for a while. Q's stock price has been bolstered by momentum investors and when something changes, they bail out. DELL experienced this for quite a while. I feel that QCOM may come under some serious pressure if they don't deliver some stellar results. The company is facing price erosion in the handset market and last time I checked they weren't nearly as efficient as an e-commerce powerhouse like DELL. Some of those folks that rolled most (if not all) of their DELL money into QCOM may be in for a surprise -- if the Funds make some big changes ahead of them. QCOM is still a very good company and a couple relatives own it BUT I think the price got ahead of itself.

Just my views....

I'm still quite confident that DELL will set new 52-week highs soon. Stay tuned for an exciting September..!!

Best Regards,

Scott
