10:09 ET Qualcom (QCOM) 185 -7 3/16 : Selling off on comments from Everen Securities after meeting with
management; business model appears intact, expect sequential revenue/EPS growth in 4Q99; comfortable with
Q4 estimate of $0.88. Believes there is potential for upside. However, cautions that although QCOM has
substantially beaten ests the last couple of quarters, doubts the company has the ability to exceed 4Q expectations
to that same extent. QCOM said operating margins in the handset business not increasing as management hoped
due to the acceleration of price erosion in the last few quarters.
