Thanks for the link. I missed that particular story. Here's what makes me laugh about apparent confusion concerning the complexities of Dycom's accounting methods. From your article:

"Here's how it works: Dycom installs cable for telephone and cable television companies. When it sinks cable into the ground and completes a project, it fills out paperwork for work it has done. That's unbilled revenue. After the customer verifies the work is finished, Dycom sends it a bill. That falls under accounts receivable."

That just about sums up the business Dycom is in<VBG>. I know it's not to technical, and probably why there is not much discussion about it on this thread. But Dycom partakes in the ramp-up of broadband infrastructure spending by the telcos and cablecos just as much as the bleeding edge technology companies.
