I guess I did make a leap from people reading self-help books to what holds civilizations together. Sorry. But I can't help but think the more disparate and fragmented we become in what we believe the tougher it will be to find common ground. As far as Islam being the fastest growing religion in the world, what does that mean? Communism spread like wildfire earlier in the century as well. You are right when you say that Judeo-Christian culture is losing influence. The void will not be empty very long. We should be careful what we fill it with.
