Thats an excellent idea, and I would like to add that (if possible) the symbol should be accepted whether it exists or not (for the case of new issues). So for example there is a new issue you are waiting for you can enter the symbol and when it does start trading SI will pick it up. This will eliminate the countless "is it trading yet" posts on the IPO threads.

BTW Bob or whoever, can someone add a quote to Gadzoox (ZOOX)
