I was in Tulsa, OK most of the month. Average daytime temperatures were in the 100-105 degree range. Camping with no electricity was not much fun...

I also know that Michigan had temps in the high 70's and low 80's. I remember because it happened the day after I left.

THE AVERAGE HIGH TEMPERATURE FOR AUGUST WAS 85.6 DEGREES...WHICH
WAS 1.8 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL. THE AVERAGE LOW TEMPERATURE WAS 64.8
DEGREES...WHICH WAS 1 DEGREE ABOVE NORMAL. THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE FOR
THE MONTH WAS 75.2 DEGREES...WHICH WAS 1.1 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL.

THE HIGHEST TEMPERATURE OF THE MONTH WAS 97 DEGREES ON THE 17TH.
THE LOWEST TEMPERATURE WAS 54 DEGREES ON THE 31ST.

THERE WERE NO HEATING DEGREE DAYS FOR THE MONTH...OR SEASON...WHICH WAS
NORMAL. THERE WERE 323 COOLING DEGREE DAYS FOR THE MONTH...WHICH WAS 38
ABOVE NORMAL. THERE WERE 1185 COOLING DEGREE DAYS FOR THE SEASON...WHICH
WAS 334 ABOVE NORMAL.
