bill, Right now, I think this thing is going to end with a whimper instead of a bang.. IMO, personal contact, etc., there is more and more skepticism about the market in general.. Not the old "wall of worry type" but the kind that will cause people to slow down their 401K contributions.. And therefore cause a real liquidity crisis for the institutional managers etc.. Baby boomers are close to retirement age and well aware of their quarterly statements.. when those hit the wall, transfers out of the index funds will be fast. They have been pumped too long about their "golden years" playing golf in the sunbelt to risk it.. And I think the BB's will be enough to start a RUN on the 401's.. thye have the highest incomes.. the 20 to 40 somethings will not be able to stem the tide.. BTW, Electric fences can not hold hogs.. What happens. they get a running start at them.. and start squealing about 50 or 100 feet from the fence. because they know they will get shocked when they blast through.. Maybe "the shock" of those statements will be heard and give us a warning before the crash.. Have a nice holiday.. coug
