Grand Toys International Readies For Jellabies(TM)
Launch

The Addition of Jellabies(TM) Demonstrates The Company's Commitment to Further Expand and
Diversify Its Product Lines

MONTREAL, Sept. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Grand Toys International, Inc. (Nasdaq: GRIN - news) today announced that in
preparation for the market launch of its latest licensed product line, Jellabies(TM), it has begun showing its Jellabies(TM)
product line to leading Canadian retailers. In March 1999, at the outset of the extensive worldwide licensing program for
Jellabies(TM), Grand signed and received status as master toy distribution licensee for Jellabies(TM) in Canada from Jusco
Toys Limited, a division of Just Group plc.

Jellabies, known as Jellikins(TM) in the United Kingdom, is a 3D, state of the art, animated television show produced and
copyrighted by Winchester Entertainment plc, primarily targeted to pre-school children and their parents. Jellabies is both fun
and educational and features six lovable, bouncy characters. Launched on GMTV in the U.K. on July 31, Jellabies will appear
five days a week, beginning in early September 1999, on YTV, the leading children's cable television channel in Canada, and on
the Fox Family Channel in the U.S.

Jellabies(TM) products that Grand will distribute include plush (soft toys), vinyl figurines, backpacks, and a radio controlled
''Wibble Wobble'' car that is featured on the show. Grand expects to make initial shipments of its Jellabies(TM) product line in
the fourth quarter, with a major shipping thrust in the first quarter of 2000.

''As master licensee, we are very excited to have the lead role in introducing Jellabies(TM) products to the Canadian market,''
commented Steve Altro, Chairman. ''The reviews received in the U.K. for this new television show have been excellent and we
are looking forward to the show's launch in Canada and the U.S. in September. Retailers' initial reaction to our product line has
also been very positive.''

Mr. Altro added, ''It has been our commitment in 1999 to expand and diversify our product lines by adding strong and exciting
new product distribution licenses, from sources all over the world. The addition of the Jellabies(TM) licensing relationship
successfully demonstrates this commitment. Grand Toys' strength as a value-added distributor combined with our product
development and marketing skills has enabled us to create a strong product portfolio of licenses to market and distribute in
Canada. These licenses include the Furby(TM) product line of Tiger Electronics Inc., which is currently introducing Furby
Babies(TM) in the U.S. We currently expect to launch Furby Babies(TM) in Canada in October.''

Leisure Concepts is the licensing division of 4Kids Entertainment, Inc. (Nasdaq: KIDE - news).

Founded in 1960, Grand Toys International, Inc. is a premier distributor of a wide variety of toys and ancillary items in Canada
and since January 1, 1999, a manufacturer and distributor in the U.S.
