Thanks for offering your perspective on this one.

My view was that it was a net positive for Intel. Intel came up on the wrong side trying to force OEMs into RDRAM. RCC with support for 200/266 DDR SDRAM might be a savior here.

I was surprised to see the strength of RCCs 133/200/266 lines - covers the whole spectrum on performance. RCC saw a hole in Intel's strategy and drove a truck right through it - to Intel's benefit.
