Rtev, thanks for your response. What about the issue of which search engines metacrawler uses....are these arrangement with the ones they have fixed in stone or could a search engine say sorry you can't search us anymore unless such and such. And for instance metacrawler does not search google and some others? why not? I am now pretty sure there is more to it then eyeballs as the reason gnet bought dogpile....I bet they have some technology or agreements gnet wanted.

It's a mug's game. Seems like they're doing their best, and the results are fine. Monkeying with titles can help, but Hypermart has the advantage of being promoted within a major network. And as I mentioned, it's #1 on Google. So what is the problem?

Check the title fields on major sites - some of them are very brief and it doesn't seem to matter one bit.

A metacrawler result is nice, but leading web companies aren't wringing their hands about the metacrawler results. It's only one piece of the puzzle.
