Charles, I leaning more and more toward the notion the AMD's current 1.6V transistor process might very much resemble a ".18 process without the density", as I believe Kash put it. If this is the case, the speed pop at the "real .18" may not be that great, and in fact, may be already on the curve.

I may be wrong. I will be as curious as the next guy to see see what happens going forward.

I expect AMD to continue AMD to keep "announcing" speed bumps in the near term. I do seriously question the volume until Dredesn manages to ramp. Also, I expect Intel to at least match AMd's "real" top speed grade, with a real product in volume.
