Sorry to break your train of thought, Carolyn, but I thought I'd post this here on Techride... Now, I know I'm running the risk of sounding very STUPID!, but.... I just realized that e-mail could become obsolete... I was on AOL IM....and my sister and I were trying to send a rather larger vid file of my baby nephew...which my ISPmail server kept rejecting as too large.... Then I said(actually typed) why not just send it via AIM?.... It worked fine..and we could continue our chat... Now add voice and broadband to this picture....add screening and auto-execs and security alarms....who needs e-mail?... The connections between people, business or personal, can remain live--via cable or DSL... Whether Internet or LAN/WAN....drive to drive via IM/IRC type connection is all that's needed. Anyway...thought y'all might enjoy this speculative, way-in-advance, heads-up on the demise of CTCH et als.! Good luck...I hear the Market is due for a negative reaction to Friday's Numbers...
