No surprise! I have been working the numbers, potential customers, operating costs, margin by local identities (gateway owners) etc., this is just one impossible case. The costs will never allow any real profits! Its like building Titanic and charge a fare based on a Burger King menu! I know many here did buy Iridium stock (I did), and now when we know more about how complicated this market is, I am afraid that restructuring will only delay the failure. From what I have learnt Iridium is no shifting ist focus to maritime customers to grab what is belived to be a valuable market. Humm, just thinking what companies like Telenor or BT will do to promote such marketing giving their profits from Inmarsat. Maybe after all the least interesting system Globalstar is turning out to be the solution of choice? Thomas L
