Tech, I always place limit orders on any bid/ask--sometimes there are 3 point spreads on volatile stocks...today w/ Qualcomm, selling 160 and 155 Sept puts (later in the day), for instnace, for the 155 I believe the spread was 3 and l/4 and 4 but the market was moving so fast I just placed it for 4 for the day and it filled immediately...

But I was wondering, when spreads narrow, does that mean implied volatility is less? Why else would spreads narrow?

Thanx

Jill
