I believe I go through many days without breaking any law. That's if I don't drive. Other than traffic laws, I don't believe I violate any laws ~ well, except with my husband, and that's not every day.

Christopher, you are no doubt right about the sheer mass of law that has accumulated: law-making seems to have become a self-perpetuating industry of sorts. So let me rephrase my question: are there proportionately more laws regulating personal behavior than there used to be? ("Blue laws" would be included in this category.)

"I do not believe it is physically possible for any adult (except perhaps those
institutionalized in prisons or hospitals or nursing homes or the like) in America to go
through an entire day without breaking at least one law. "

The key is pick and choose the law you choose to break. Don't waste time on misdemeanors. Do something big. I'll leave it to your imagination.
