I, too, play QCOM with options. I like the leverage. I like controlling the volatility this way. I have the Sept 170s long and when the stock rallied into the 180s, I sold the 195s short. So, today's action doesn't really bother me too much. I forgot about the analyst meeting coming up next week. This will give management an opportunity to explain what the analysts said today. Either that analyst knew something (and the Q clued him on it), or he was speculating and nows no more than any of us. A 12% haircut though was uncalled for--in any event. I will add to my positions will Jan 2000 calls on any weakness tomorrow morn. 152 is as far down as I see this baby going.

Dang! A Gabriel Dubois note to Sig! I feel like I'm at a Dell reunion party.

Bob (no Dell, lots of Q shares, bought some calls today; too early)

Xmen unite!

Hi Gabriel: Re Leaps
I think Mr G got what he wanted, over 500 drop in the Dow.
Am sure he did not want 1000. So if people would just stop
interpreting his speeches we would be OK.
Its October in September. Qcom kept me alive for months
while Niles and buddies had their words.
Those leaps looking very good. Last major selling to day at 172 and quiet thereafter. Positive news would move it up since
like Dell, the analysts were just doing a bit of verbal trashing with no supporting evidence.
Good luck. Some would call it foolish to count on 'luck'
and prefer to 'figure' -like 'figure' Cpq, HD, Low, BA to do well
I figured HD and LOW to do well and they haven't despite all the plans and expansion etc.
Somedody said luck is what occurs when preparedness meets opportunity (or something similar) . If he didn't, I will
Regards
Sig
