0.175 Toshiba process? (re:message #32354) I'll buy that for $999.99 (wouldn't pay $1k for it, though) Guess Toshiba can claim supremacy over those obsolete 0.18 processes.

Brian,

When I took a tour of Dominion Semiconductor in Manassas, Virginia (just outside D.C.) a month or two ago, they said that they were transitioning to 256 Mbit DRAMs from 64 Mbit DRAMS. I'm pretty sure that they also said this was on a .175 micron scale, because I remember the extra decimal place caught my attention.

They are a joint Toshiba and IBM facility, and I thought I heard them say that IBM was selling their half to Toshiba.

Regards,

Doug
