What is going on with Qualcom?

Same ol, same ol, guys. We had to have a reaction to the runup on thin volume, and we had one. My situation is unique, and I probably made the wrong move today. I pay no taxes if I sell because everything I have is in tax sheltered accounts. It would have been logical for me to sell out 100% this morning, and buy back in on a bounce tomorrow or the next day.

I will watch it closely tomorrow, and, If I think it is running down another 15 to 20 points, I will try to time it. I am terrible at doing this, so I probably will get caught, but the temptation is there. I would be back in 100% in any case.

Unq, you started this thread as a discussion...you are not responsible for Qualcomm or any other stock, we are all in the discussion together. Whether this company grows into a full-fledged gorilla is a different matter than in this liquid global volatile daytrading market making market, a stock that has a lot of momentum and huge swings is a target for daytrading, shorting, etc. One point we've made on the thread is that with the huge expectations, Q is vulnerable if it doesn't meet those expectations, which are built into the stock. I think we've all discussed this. Perhaps a day like today makes some of us a bit more cautious, but having seen the mysterious run up on the 31st and then the crash today, I can't help but figure it was manipulated to make good money for window dressing going up, and then good money on shorting going down. Maybe I'm a cynic.

And again, this says nothing about Qualcomm's possible bumps on the way to hopeful gorillahood...
