Bruce,

Not sure either. I haven't had a chance to call Mike, but I should have an opportunity to call Thursday. It really doesn't bother me too much, as it will get drilled.

Hi Bruce...

I really don't know where they are drilling other than on TG-3...If I may, I'll try to put together a scenario which might shed some light on the subject...I know that you will be most familiar with the majority of this information, but I think some readers might see the reasoning in a clearer light if I present it as such...

(1) PR July 20/99 - "Preparations are being made to drill TG-6 and TG-7 anomalies within the next two weeks."

(2) PR July 23/99 - "Preparations being made to drill TG-6 and TG-7 within the next two weeks."

(3) PR August 19/99 - "Exploration continues at TG-3 and other identified targets".

(4) National Post article Aug 21/99 - "We (Haywood Securities) expect majors to move on Manhattan should favourable grades be found at one of the other geophysical targets."......"Graham Clow, Manhattan President and chief executive, confirmed majors have taken an interest:..."...(IMO, these are very important and significant statements...) Read, read and then read them again...!!!

(5) From MAN's "Second Quarter 1999 Results" dated Aug 23/99 - "Presently the company has four drills working on the Tambo Grande Project."

------------------

My comments......

I have not seen anything from the company indicating that these drilling plans as outlined in (1) & (2) above have been changed...

In (3) above, note that the key word is "exploration" and that no reference to "drilling" is made. This could perhaps indicate a change in strategy from that of (1) and (2) above...

As I mentioned previously, I am of the opinion that TG-7 is part of what I call the TG-1/TG-3 VMS cluster...(This also would include B-02)...

If the company holds the same opinion, and if one takes (4) above into consideration, then the company may feel that no particular purpose would be served by drilling TG-7 at this particular point in time...

Therefore, they may have decided to to move this forth drill to another target on Lancones or Papayo...

For tactical purposes, I believe they then would have chosen the weakest target to drill...(A Hail Mary play, if you will..)

And, if they did this, the results may not have been in keeping with what investors (or takeover companies) want to hear...

Ergo, IMO the word gets out (again) and the stock declines...

Regards....Ray

Is MAN drilling TG-7?

Just talked to Mike:

1 rig on TG7, 1 rig on TG6, and 2 still going on TG3
