ASPT, Ossnat, let me put it this way...if a stock is pressed into the very corner before a breakout, it starts to take on the pattern of a basing and sometimes a Bollinger squeeze depending on the angles of a triangle. It's especially true if the angles are narrow.

Since those patterns are also somewhat predictable...I think the break upside remains valid because you're still seeing indecision...but preceded by confidence.

I kind of hate to use the terms reliable. We're simply using TA as an edge.

Reliable is a dangerous concept. I may slip and use the term myself...but I prefer to think of TA as somewhat more predictable...than not using it.

I did mention I would not hesitate to sell on a negative break...I'm definitely not confident of a direction...but have reason to suspect one.

I also think you have to be extra careful this week when so many "pros" are gone.

Anyway I promised some charts on CS...so I have to go do that.

Later,

Stan
